The centerpiece of our celebration is a fundraising effort for the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI), home of the Harvey Milk School. An East Side institution for 25 years, this New York City high school creates a safe, supportive learning environment for LGBTQ teens. We will be publicizing Pride Goes East in local media and on the web. Lower East Side shops and restaurants will offer special deals, as will Fourth Arts Block theatres. Our goal is in to raise at least $1,500 to benefit the school.
